What types of movie buff are you?

I am the horror addict...I love horror movie so much...The horrifying gore, monsters, insanity and the supernatural things fascinate my sense so much...

I am not a brave person actually...I even covered my eyes in the middle of the terrifying scene...But the fear excites me anyhow...Being scared out of our wits is a kind of fun concept...The more fear I feel, the more I enjoy the movie..

This is the fourth horror movie that I watched for this year...I had watched Munafik, The Forest and The Boy before...Initially, I planned to watch The Faith of Anna Waters with my best friend, but the IMDb rating is not too promising...

My best friend suggested us to watch this movie as she had been captivated by the movie trailer...Furthermore, this movie is a kind of different from those movie that I watched where the horror movie is told through the eyes of a child...

THE SYNOPSIS

Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) are struggling to maintain a healthy relationship after the heartbreaking death of their son, Sean (Antonio Romero)...As they no longer able to conceive another child, they decide to adopt a kid in order to start a new life...

They take in a cute, bright and instantly likeable 8 year old boy named Cody (Jacob Tremblay)...But there is one odd thing about him...Cody is scared of falling asleep and will do anything to stay awake...They assumed that his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep.. 

Apparently, Cody has a mysterious gift that able to make his dreams literally come true whenever he sleeps...Through Cody's imagination, Jessie and Mark able to experience wonderful images...But downside of Cody's dreams lies a nightmare known as ''The Canker Man''...

THE REVIEW

I think this movie lacks of visionary touch and depends too much on jump scares...''The Canker Man'' from Cody's nightmare is not scary at all...He looks like a monster from a video game...However certain scenes that took place in dark or quiet surrounding manage to evoke an ominous sense of fright and eeriness...

I like how  Flanagan and Jeff Howard combines supernatural elements with heartfelt themes that deal with loss and parental love...As a grieving married couple trying to cope with the death of their son, Kate and Thomas bring enough refinement to their emotionally vulnerable characters....

Not forget to mention on Jacob performance as Cody, it is really wonderful...He was the essence and soul to the movie...I deeply fall in love with Cody characters...And I am pretty sure everybody would dream to have a child like Cody...

Lastly, the movie is not something that is typical and predictable...The plot was arranged creatively...I loved the idea at the end and how the ending was a bit open, making the audience think a bit for themselves...

For overall 6.5/10 from me

It is not just a mere fight between neighbor next door or between girls who fight among themselves to win over a guy...It is a fight between a man who had witnessed the death of his parent, preparing himself well for a revenge with a man who was born from the other planet...

They are our superheroes...Bat of Gotham vs Son of Krypton...Batman vs Superman...

If they are in the justice league, why did they fight each other?

Whose stir up the fire?

Is someone manipulating them?

Who will win in the end?

You are curious right???

I am not going to answer all those questions...You need to watch the movie...I already watched it and I am on team Batman...

I will not say that Batman vs Superman is the best comic book movie ever, but it is very good...The movie was pretty dark...The cinematography used in the movie was fantastic...The fight between Batman and Superman was amazing...The fight scene was well choreographed...

What is really lured me into the movie was the great performances by the actors...Ben Affleck's performance as Batman was superb...For me, he is the best Batman ever...Jesse Eisenberg's performance as Lex Luthor was brilliant...He plays his role like true devil...Not forget to mention on Gal Gadot as wonder women, I love women who can fight...

Overall 7/10 from me and I hope you would enjoy the movie...

~nostalgia kartun zaman kanak-kanak (part 1)~

Masa zaman kanak-kanak dulu, hari Sabtu dan hari Ahad la yang paling Iris nanti-nantikan..Sebab apa???Dalam dua hari tue la rancangan kartun paling banyak disiarkan..Dari pagi sampai petang..Hari Sabtu dan Ahad memang confirm la Iris akan bangun awal, mandi cepat-cepat then terus terpacak depan tv..Yang paling Iris tak suka masa tue bila ada siaran langsung especially sukan, ayah Iris sure akan tukar channel tv..Bila Iris nak tukar balik kepada channel kartun sure kena mara..Teringat dialog yang ayah Iris selalu guna..

• 'Kartun-kartun, bukannya ada faedah pun, cuba la tengok rancangan ni (sukan) ada la jugak faedahnya'

~caroline juara mentor 6~

Mentor 6 telah melabuhkan tirainya semalam dengan kemenangan dimiliki oleh protege Ella, Caroline..Memang Iris minat kat dia ni sejak dari awal lagi cause dia ni cool and tak over macam peserta yang lain plus suara dia memang best...Daripada first episode until final episode mentor 6 ni, Iris excited nak tengok Caroline performed ja, protege lain..hmm..entah..macam tak berminat ja nak tengok..Risau jugak tengok dia performed semalam, dia kan tak berapa sihat nak bercakap pun suara macam nak keluar tak nak keluar ja..But anywhere, she did a good job..Tahniah untuk Caroline akhirnya berjaya dinobatkan sebagai juara..Berbaloi penat lelah berlatih sampai pengsan-pengsan..hehe..Hope dia boleh pergi jauh dalam industri seni ni and tak diam menyepi macam juara-juara mentor musin lalu..

p/s: apa la yang dia nak buat dengan RM 100k tue..Kalau dapat kat Iris la....Bestnya..

At Jusco Ipoh where my BFF become my photographer..

Sejak Iris tengok thriller movie ini, memang berkobar-kobar semangat Iris untuk pergi menonton movie ni kat wayang..By hook or by crook kena pergi tengok juga movie ni tak kesah la pergi dengan sapa atau pergi sorang-sorang..Luckly, I got the chance to watch this movie yesterday..Iris tengok movie ni dengan cik BFF kat TGV Jusco Ipoh..Siap duduk couple seat lagi tue..Hahaha

This movie is not totally same with the fairy tale version of snow white..Bagi Iris la movie ni sangat best, memang worth it la..Lakonan Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna memang mantap..Some of the fairy tale effects are marvelous..the dark forest..the sanctuary..Part yang mereka nak berperang menentang Queen Ravenna pun best juga..BFF Iris kata berdebar-debar macam nak tercabut jantung..

Bagi korang yang masih tercari-cari movie apa yang korang nak tengok kat wayang, try la movie ni..Tapi kalau tak menepati citarasa korang, jangan salahkan Iris..I'm just giving you a suggestion hehehe

last monday night, i watched a malay movie entitled 'misteri jalan lama'. i thought that this movie is a horror movie. sy ajak la 2 org adik sy yg agak penakut ni join tengok skali..mula2 depa xnk..lepas pujuk punya pujuk depa pn setuju tuk join..permulaan cerita ada la adegan2 yg menyeramkan, da la sekor dua hantu muncul sampaikan adik2 sy duk tgk movie ni ikut celah bantal, takut punya pasal (lawak2x)..hehehe..sampai pertengahan cite, cite yg pd mulanya mnyeramkan bertukar menjadi lawak..ktorg duk tunggu bila la hantu nk kuar lg ni..sorg adik sy smpai tertido2 duk tunggu hantu xkuar2..dh nk sampai pengakhiran cite, sy dan adik sy slg berpndangn..cite ni dh mcm cite ultraman plak siap ada 'transformation' lg 2..huhu..seriously, bg ktorg cite ni mmg xbest lgsg..nasib baik la x p tgk kt wayang..mmg x worth it...so ni ada serba sedikit info tntg movie ni..

indra dan ilya dlm perjalanan plg ke kg halaman mereka untuk nguruskan pengebumian ayah mereka, iskandar. indra adalah anak kandung iskandar yg merupakan pelumba kereta professional yg kuat berjudi dan seringkali meminjam drpd ah long. manakala ilya pula adalah anak angkat iskandar yg dipinjamkan oleh 'seseorang' sewaktu iskandar melalui sebuah jln lama 25 thn dahulu.ilya seorg anak yg baik dan banyak membantu iskandar dlm perniagaanya. iskandar juga amt sayangkan ilya. ini jugalah yg menjadi punca ketidakpuasan hati indra, lalu membawa diri jauh drpd keluarga. mereka menggunakan jln lma untuk plg ke kg. pelbagai peristiwa pelik dialami oleh mereka sewakti melalui jln lama tersebut.
