Hipster cafes are growing like mushroom in Ipoh...Gomok cafe is one of them...Located in the centre of Ipoh town, you have probably came across Gomok at the corner shoplot while you are roaming about here...It has a cute round chubby belly dude in an office attire as its mascot...

Why it is named as Gomok?

Actually I do not have an exact answer for that...It is probably because...

• Gomok is related to 'Gemuk' which is fat
• The foods are served in a big sized portion
• You will end up fat if you eat a lot (that is a fact...lol)

Gomok had been operating for almost two years now...I finally got a chance to pay a visit here on last Thursday...Honestly, I am not keen to make an appearance in Ipoh town because of several reasons...The road here is quite congested, it is hard to find a parking space and the MBI personnels are everywhere to issue you with their summon letter...

Last Thursday evening, I drove my friend to UTC Ipoh to renew her driving license...I brought my sisters together with us...Since everybody was hungry, we decided to have our dinner nearby before we were going back home...And that was how we were end up dined in Gomok Cafe ...

Decoration

My first impression when I stepped my foot here was a ''wow''...I found that Gomok cafe was quite nicely decorated...I love how they decorated this place...Simple, neat and tidy but trendy...Not forget to mention on the lighting effect, it could give you to experience a kind of romantic feeling...

Foods

When we looked at the menu, it took us a moment to decide what to eat...Just like we were in the middle of an exam, thinking on the best answer to choose...I am a kind of a go for a cheap food person...For me the price here was not that cheap...As far as I could remembered the main courses price, range from RM 15 and above...For the signature drinks it would cost you from RM 5 and above...But still, you could get a bottle of mineral water at RM 2...

Gomok Cafe offers you with fusion local and western delicacies...Usually when you ate western food, most of the restaurants offered you to choose either one of these gravies, brown sauce, mushroom sauce or black paper sauce...What was different about Gomok compared to others, the western foods here served with varieties of unique gravies such as cream spinach sauce which i never tasted before...

The foods presentation was nice and they came in a quite big portion, suited with the price...We were struggling ourself to finish our meals...We tried both of its local and western dishes that day...Overall, the fried rice tasted just so and so whilst the pastas tasted quite good...

Services and Facilities

Eventhough it is a corner lot, the premise was quite narrow...I personally thought that this premise was quite small and have limited seating place...That day, by 2030 hours, the premise was almost full with customers...I am not sure whether the second floor already opened for the customers or not...

Cellular respiration is considered as an exothermic redox reaction which release heat...That is why we tend to feel extra hotter especially when we were in the crowd...Here, you do not have to worry about that matter... Eventhough the premise was quite small, it was well ventilated...It got fans and air conditioner now...

It would not take you a longer time to wait for you meal to be served on your table...Or meals arrived within 20-25 minutes after we placed our order...And what I like most, our meals came in at one go...If you are looking for a free wifi, unfortunately, no free wifi provided...But it was not a big deal for me...

You do not have to worry if you do not bring a lot of cash with you...You can pay your dining bill by using your debit or credit card...Before we were leaving this premise, one of the staff asked our feedback on their meals...What could I said more ''I am full'' ...lol

~cornea abrasion~

Foreign bodies and abrasions are the most common causes of conjunctival and corneal injuries...Although superficial foreign bodies often leave the eyes through tears without leaving a residual abrasion, others might stay on or within the cornea...A foreign body trapped under the upper lid cause more vertical corneal abrasion that worsen as a result of blinking...  

Most people fully recover from minor corneal abrasions without permanent eye damage...However, deeper scratches can cause corneal infections, corneal erosion or scarring...If not treated properly, these complications can result in long term vision problem... 

It happened to me last Friday...

I am a rider...I used to go to work by riding my motorbike...I love riding instead of driving as for me it is more time consuming...Furthermore, finding a parking space to park my car could give me a headache as my working place did not have sufficient car park for their staffs and even for the visitors...

As a rider, it was not the first time i got something stuck in my eyes...I experienced it before, several times but that day it was the worst...I got it when i was trying to override a lorry...At first, I thought that I got dust inside my left eye...I ignored it and continued my ride until I reached my working place...

When I reached there, I rinsed my left eye with water, pulled my upper eyelid over the lower eyelid and inspected my left eye, tried to find for the object but I could not found anything...It was really discomfort and painful...It was not a dust...I probably got sand trapped under my upper eyelid...

I continued working as usually hoping that my eyes would flushed out the sand on its own...Toward the afternoon, the pain worsen...My left eye turned red and keep on tearing continuously...I could not beared it anymore...I need help...

I went to the emergency department...They irrigated my left eye...Eventhough, nearly three quater of irrigation water went in...It was not working...The sand was still there...I become more anxious...They referred me to the eye specialist...

My suffer and pain finally over...She was able to remove the object that trapped under my upper eyelid under slit-lamp examination...It was a sand, a very tiny one...I felt relieved...The continuous tearing stopped at the moment the sand had been removed...But the pain still persisted...

She told me that I still in pain as my cornea was injured and the pain will be subsided by time...My whole cornea was scratched but luckily it was just a superficial abrasion...She prescribed me with pain killer and several eyes drops including antibiotic eyes drop...

She advised me to rest my eyes, limit the eyes exposure to the light and if possible just get myself rest in a darkened room...I need to visit her again on Monday for follow up... 

~project food haunting: sudu cafe~

Eventhough I am travelling back and forth via this road, I am only started to notice about this place later in the end of 2015...That day, my brother and I was on our way back home...We were looking for a place to celebrate our sister's first pay check...

At first, I thought that this place was named as SUSU instead of SUDU...Because when you see it from far, the letter 'D' looked like an 'S' for me...But thanks to Mr. Google for correcting me...Since my first visit here, this place has become one of my favorite eating spot...

They provide you with varieties of local and western dishes at a very reasonable price...Their main specialties are 'mee ketam' and district coffee...

If you are a coffee lover, get yourself to try their different types of coffee from various district of Perak...The coffee here smell and taste good...It would bring back your sweetest oldies memories...And I am pretty sure that you would not regret it...

The foods here are delicious and presentable...Some of the food's portion is more than sufficient...I enjoyed their spaghetti carbonara most as it taste unique...If you are craving for 'ubi kayu rebus' come and visit this place on Sunday...

While waiting for your meal, you can surf the internet by using their free wifi...By that you can save your internet data...If you are running out of cash...Do not panic...The ATM machine is just next door...

What types of movie buff are you?

I am the horror addict...I love horror movie so much...The horrifying gore, monsters, insanity and the supernatural things fascinate my sense so much...

I am not a brave person actually...I even covered my eyes in the middle of the terrifying scene...But the fear excites me anyhow...Being scared out of our wits is a kind of fun concept...The more fear I feel, the more I enjoy the movie..

This is the fourth horror movie that I watched for this year...I had watched Munafik, The Forest and The Boy before...Initially, I planned to watch The Faith of Anna Waters with my best friend, but the IMDb rating is not too promising...

My best friend suggested us to watch this movie as she had been captivated by the movie trailer...Furthermore, this movie is a kind of different from those movie that I watched where the horror movie is told through the eyes of a child...

THE SYNOPSIS

Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) are struggling to maintain a healthy relationship after the heartbreaking death of their son, Sean (Antonio Romero)...As they no longer able to conceive another child, they decide to adopt a kid in order to start a new life...

They take in a cute, bright and instantly likeable 8 year old boy named Cody (Jacob Tremblay)...But there is one odd thing about him...Cody is scared of falling asleep and will do anything to stay awake...They assumed that his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep.. 

Apparently, Cody has a mysterious gift that able to make his dreams literally come true whenever he sleeps...Through Cody's imagination, Jessie and Mark able to experience wonderful images...But downside of Cody's dreams lies a nightmare known as ''The Canker Man''...

THE REVIEW

I think this movie lacks of visionary touch and depends too much on jump scares...''The Canker Man'' from Cody's nightmare is not scary at all...He looks like a monster from a video game...However certain scenes that took place in dark or quiet surrounding manage to evoke an ominous sense of fright and eeriness...

I like how  Flanagan and Jeff Howard combines supernatural elements with heartfelt themes that deal with loss and parental love...As a grieving married couple trying to cope with the death of their son, Kate and Thomas bring enough refinement to their emotionally vulnerable characters....

Not forget to mention on Jacob performance as Cody, it is really wonderful...He was the essence and soul to the movie...I deeply fall in love with Cody characters...And I am pretty sure everybody would dream to have a child like Cody...

Lastly, the movie is not something that is typical and predictable...The plot was arranged creatively...I loved the idea at the end and how the ending was a bit open, making the audience think a bit for themselves...

For overall 6.5/10 from me

Last Thursday, I attended a training on basic life support (BLS)...It is compulsory for us, the health care provider in Malaysia to renew our BLS certificate on every 2 years...My name was listed to attend the course as my certificate will be expired soon..

The American Heart Association (AHA) changed and revised their guideline on BLS every 5 years...So by attending the course, we could update ourself with their latest changes, enhancing our skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and preparing ourself in the real event of cardiac arrest in hospital setting...

this is how we going to respond when one of our patient suddenly collapse 

Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, workplace or in a public location die because they do not receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene...As a bystander do not be afraid...You could provides life saving care by learning hands only CPR...

What is hands only CPR?

• CPR without mouth to mouth breaths
• Intended for bystander untrained in CPR
• Recommended for situation when the rescuer is unable or unwilling to provide mouth to mouth ventilations
• Recommended for use by people who see adult suddenly collapse in the ''out of hospital'' setting

How to perform hands only CPR?

Step 1

If you see someone suddenly collapse, check the scene for safety...And then check whether the person is responding to you by tapping on his shoulder and shouting ''are you okay?''...

Step 2

Briefly look for breathing...

Step 3

If the person does not respond, call or send someone to call the local emergency number right away...

Step 4

If the person is not breathing or gasping, prepare to give chest compression...Kneel besides him...Put the heel of one hand at the center of chest...Place you other hand over that hand leasing your finger together...Position your shoulder directly over your hand, keeping your arm straight and your finger of the chest...

Step 5

Push hard and fast, at least 2 inches and allow the chest to rise completely before pressing down again...Do not take off your hand of the chest, just your weight...

Step 6

Keep going...Do not stop compression until the person shows an obvious sign of life like breathing, scene become unsafe, automatic external defibrillator (AED) is ready, you are too exhausted to continue or trained responder take over...

How to ensure effective chest compression?

• Push hard and fast
• Push with the rate of 100-120 beat per minute (new guideline by AHA 2016)
• Push at the depth of at least 2 inches
• Allow chest to rise completely before pressing down again

How do we know 100 beat per minute of chest compression sounds like?

Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to beat of the classic disco song ''Staying Alive''...This song has the right beat for hands only CPR

It is simple right???

So, do not be afraid to offer your hand...You could be a hero...You also could save a life...

I am not going to answer all those questions...You need to watch the movie...I already watched it and I am on team Batman...

I will not say that Batman vs Superman is the best comic book movie ever, but it is very good...The movie was pretty dark...The cinematography used in the movie was fantastic...The fight between Batman and Superman was amazing...The fight scene was well choreographed...

What is really lured me into the movie was the great performances by the actors...Ben Affleck's performance as Batman was superb...For me, he is the best Batman ever...Jesse Eisenberg's performance as Lex Luthor was brilliant...He plays his role like true devil...Not forget to mention on Gal Gadot as wonder women, I love women who can fight...

Overall 7/10 from me and I hope you would enjoy the movie...

Although some of us might be working today (including me)...This day is usually the time for most of us to rest from the hectic and tiring working environment...And what makes Sunday even great is that you can do a lot of things today such as:

• Strolling with family
• Hang out with friends
• Going for movie (Batman vs Superman)
• Going for shopping (if it already your payday then it would be fantastic)
• Finding a good book to read

But if you wish not to go outside, you could even do yoga or meditation at home, enhancing your cooking skill by trying new recipes or enjoying movie/drama marathon (kdrama: descendents of the sun).

Whatever it is, Sunday is always a great day for us to start the week before Monday starts again...Give yourself a break today...Do whatever that will makes you happy and you will see the great impact it has in lessening your stress level..

Semalam boleh dikatakan sebagai hari yang panjang bagi Iris..Banyak urusan yang perlu diselesaikan..Dari pagi memang Iris tak lekat di rumah langsung..Nasib baik Iris tak terlewat ke tempat kerja..Biasalah urusan dengan bank, memang memakan masa yang agak lama..Dari BSN ke RHB bank..Setelah selesai segala urusan di bank, singgah ke kedai moto..Kemudian singgah pula ke kedai elektrik..Terkejar-kejar dibuatnya..Walaupun penat, sekurang-kurangnya Iris dapat belajar benda baru iaitu tentang cara-cara membuat pembayaran melalui bank draft..Yeah, I know that internet banking is much more convenient but we also need to know how to do things manually..

I cried because I am under stress..It is quite difficult for me to adapt myself..Working environment here is totally different compared to my previous working place..Sometimes, I am wondering, Am I making the right decision by working here..I am kind of regretting it now..Maybe it is still too early for a conclusion..Perhaps, everything will goes well soon..No matter how hard it is..I need to stay strong and not giving up..I am a fighter..

They said games is a good stress reliever but for me it is not..It tense me up..Especially when i am being stuck at certain stage and unable to beat the high score..Who does not want to win..Everybody wants to win right??..As the stress became greater, the tendency to leave or ignore the game became greater too..Instead of stressing up myself with it, perhaps i should do other things that suit me well..L.O.S.E.R..I am not..I am leaving for good, okay..I do not want to end up smashing my own lappy..

I know, I know

Betrayal is a norm of life..We all have been betrayed or stabbed in the back by a friend, co-worker, romantic partner or family member at some point in our lives..Sakitnya dikhianati, hanya tuhan sahaja yang mengetahui..To recover back from the pain that has been inflicted by them can be difficult and takes time and energy..

Yes I had been betrayed not for the first time but for the third time by the same person..Bukannya Iris tak pernah rasa dikhianati sebelum ini, pernah dan berkali-kali..Tapi pengkhianatan kali ini benar-benar meninggalkan kesan yang mendalam dalam jiwa Iris..Peluang demi peluang yang diberi, disia-siakan begitu sahaja..

I had been wondering why she keep hurting me..On what reason she is behaving like a jerk..Is mylife are very interesting for her to mess with?..Some said that, backstabbers stab because they are insecure, confused weak people and only truly feel validated when they gain control over someone else..They love to feel important while coming acrross as caring, friendly, open and easy to make friends with except they are only seeking to hurt..

Forgiveness..Is she worth it to be forgive??..Is she worth it to be given chances again??..Hmm entah la ..Tak pernah pula dia datang nak minta maaf atau ajak berbincang..Biarlah masa yang menentukan..Mungkin suatu masa nanti Iris akan maafkan dia..But for the moment I need to put a barrier between us..Distrust is the only defense against betrayal..

Penat sungguh kerja semalam..Tak sempat nak berehat sekejap pun..Nak makan apatah lagi..Lapar sudah semestinya..Nasib baik ayah Iris berbaik hati nak singgah sebentar di gerai burger..Apa lagi 4 biji burger Iris borong..Tapi semuanya bukan untuk Iris seorang sahaja..

Walaupun lapar, Iris bukan jenis yang buruk lantak..Burger banyak kolesterol, tak boleh makan banyak-banyak..Tak baik untuk jantung..So..one burger for me, one for my dad, one for my mom and another one for my brother who just came back to home today for his semester break..

Setelah selesai melakukan aktiviti yang perlu diselesaikan seperti mandi dan solat..Iris pun mengambil tempat di hadapan laptop..Search apa yang patut..FB dan blog sudah semestinya..Sambil mulut rancak mengunyah burger yang dibeli tadi..Then suddenly I remembered about a phrase that had been mentioned by one of my friend who was a student in UPNM regarding rule no.1 and rule no.2..

Prasanya berbunyi begini..

Rule No.1: Senior is always right

Rule No.2: If senior is wrong please refer to rule no.1

Me personally don't agree with the phrase..As for me it is our responsibility to fix the broken thing..Setiap perkara yang kita rasakan salah atau tak betul, harus ditegur dan diperbetulkan supaya kesalahan yang sama tidak berulang lagi..Mungkin motif utama prasa tu adalah supaya junior hormat pada senior..Maklum la senior banyak pengalaman..Terlebih dahulu makam garam..

Teringat pula tentang kontrversi yang sedang melanda wad Iris..Tentang junior yang baru masuk..Kerja baru sebulan lebih yang pantang ditegur..Kita menegur untuk perbetulkan dia..Tapi kita pula yang ditengking dan dimarahi kembali..Padahal memang sudah terang lagi bersuluh dia salah..Buruk perangai betul..

Iris tertanya-tanya juga, pendekatan yang kami gunakan untuk menegur dia salah ka??..Hmm..tak juga..Yang Iris perhatikan senior Iris tegur dia secara baik..Budak tu pula yang terasa terlebih..Marah-marah, buat muka..Dah macam ini gayanya, tak ke mana la kamu..

Memang..Tiada siapa yang suka ditegur atas sesuatu yang kita lakukan.Normal la bila ditegur kadangkala kita akan berasa malu, mara dan rasa rendah diri yang teramat sangat.Namun begitu, kita seharusnya bijak mengawal emosi, bersikap lebih terbuka dan berfikiran positif..Take the bright side of the critics..Jadikan kritikan dan teguran sebagai satu platform untuk kita memperbaiki kelemahan diri..

Bila hubungan kita dengan senior tak baik..yang susah kita juga..When we are facing with some trouble and we need their referance, are they willing to help? Fikir-fikirkan la..

Sejuknya pagi ini..Malasnya nak bangun..Nak sambung tidur boleh tak???..Yeah I know that I woke up a little bit late today but all of you does'nt have to stare at me like that cats..I'm not an alien..Lantas Iris bangun menjenguk keluar jendela..Lebat sungguh hujan pagi ini..Bila agaknya akan berhenti..

Apa itu hujan??Secara ringkasnya hujan merupakan kerpasan cecair yang terbentuk apabila titik air yang terpisah jatuh ke bumi dari awan..Hujan memainkan peranan penting dalam kitar air di mana kelembapan dari laut terpeluwap, bertukar menjadi awan, terkumpul menjadi awan yang lebih besar, dan akhirnya kembali ke laut..

Hujan membawa rahmat..That is a fact..Hujan menyuburkan bumi..Hujan merupakan sumber air..Hujan sebagai peringatan (persediaan menghadapi banjir)..Namun begitu, ada dikalangan kita yang melihat hujan dari sudut yang negatif..Malah ada yang menganggapnya sebagai satu musibah..

Hujan sering dikaitkan sebagai waktu terbaik untuk mencapai bantal dan melelapkan mata..Dan akhirnya ia dijadikan sebagai satu alasan untuk tidak menghadiri kelas dan sebagainya..Why i has to be that way???..sedangkan kita tahu hujan merupakan salah satu waktu yang afdal untuk berdoa..

Sudah tahu sekarang musim hujan maka hadkan la aktiviti-aktiviti luar..Sediakan payung atau bawa baju hujan bersama..Jadi apabila turunnya hujan tidak la kita kebasahan dek hujan..Hujan bila dia nak turun, akan turun juga..Tak ada siapa boleh menghalangnya..Be prepared..Jangan jadikan hujan sebagai tempat melepas geram..Tak baik tau..Allah tak suka..

Sebelum ni, Iris telah berkongsi tentang teori Iris yang entah boleh diguna pakai atau tidak mengenai kepupusan buah ciku di sini..Dalam entry kali ini, Iris nak bercerita pula tentang dua jenis buah yang Iris anggap hampir pupus iaitu buah nam nam dan buah keriang..Most of my friends showed a kind of blury face when I asked them about these fruits..

Buah nam nam atau buah katak puru merupakan spesis tumbuhan yang unik kerana berbunga dan berbuah dibahagian batang pokok..Buah ini mempunyai kulit luaran yang kurang menarik dan menggerutu, berbiji leper, berasa masam kelat ketika muda dan rasanya berubah menjadi masam manis apabila masak..Buah yang dikatakan berasal dari Borneo ini, pokoknya masih lagi ditemui di Semenanjung Malaysia terutamanya di kawasan Utara dan Pantai Timur..

Iris mengenali buah ini disebabkan pokoknya ada tumbuh di halaman rumah datuk dan nenek Iris di Bota..Ada dua pokok kesemuanya..Sekarang hanya tinggal sebatang pokok sahaja yang masih produktif menghasilkan buah..Sudah menjadi kebiasaan bagi Iris untuk mengutip buah nam nam tatkala pulang ke kampung..Tetapi sebelum Iris dapat menikmati keenakan buah ini, Iris terpaksa berperang terlebih dahulu dengan sang kerengga yang merupakan penghuni tetap di sekitar kawasan pokok ini tumbuh..

BUAH KERIANG

Buah keriang pula memepunyai bentuk yang hampir sama dengan buah anggur..Pokoknya hanya berbuah sekali dalam setahun iaitu sekitar April hingga Mei..Buahnya akan bertukar menjadi warna hitam apabila benar-benar masak serta meninggalkan kesan berwarna hitam pada lidah apabila dimakan..Buah keriang mempunyai rasa sedikit kelat namun manis apabila benar-benar masak..

Diperkenalkan oleh bekas rakan sekerja Iris yang berasal dari Kemboja, Umi namanya..Pokoknya ada tumbuh berdekatan dengan kawasan rumah Iris..Agak tinggi juga la pokoknya..Umi panjat sendiri pokok tu..Kalau bukan kerana dia Iris sendiri pun tidak tahu tentang kewujudan buah ini..Kata Umi, sebelum dimakan, buah ini terlebih dahulu perlulah dicuci dan direndam di dalam air garam untuk menghilangkan rasa kelatnya..

~bukit, gua dan gunung~

Sebaik sahaja bangun dari tidur, persoalan pertama yang bermain difikiran ini adalah tentang perbezaan antara  bukit, gua dan gunung..Mentang-mentang la semalam first time pergi caving..Mood excited terlebih tak hilang lagi, tu yang sampai terbawa-bawa hingga kehari ini..

Mereka yang menjadi mangsa Iris bagi menjawab persoalan pelik Iris ni tak lain tak bukan adik-adik Iris..Nasib mereka la dapat kakak pelik macam Iris..Pelik???..Hmm bukan pelik cuma banyak soal ja..Saja nak tengok tahap kefahaman mereka..Kadang-kadang mesej iklan di kaca tv pun boleh menjadi bahan untuk  disoal..

Berdasarkan perbincangan dan perdebatan kami pagi tadi, berikut yang dapat kami simpulkan:

• Gua terbentuk akibat daripada hakisan air terhadap batu..
• Bukit dan gunung terbentuk akibat pergerakan plat bumi..
• Bukit berketinggian kurang daripada 2000m manakala gunung berketinggian lebih daripada 2000m
• Gunung lebih curam daripada Bukit 

While we were dicussion and keep searching for the information, we found out this statement:

'Gua Tempurung is a massive cavern inside Gunung Tempurung standing at 497 metres high'

This statement make us wondering, does every mountain have a cavern???

Persoalan tersebut gagal kami rungkaikan..Kekal menjadi tanda tanya yang memeningkan kepala Iris..

~roadblocks~

Disember bukan sahaja merupakan musim buah-buahan tempatan dan tengkujuh malah turut menjadi musim giat pak polisi menjalankan aktiviti roadblocks..Semedang ja roadblocknya..Bak kata member Iris, nak cukupkan quota saman la tu..

This afternoon, I was riding my dad motorbike to Medan Gopeng..I was going there helping my sister to print out her homework..Cikgu zaman sekarang, kerja sekolah pun nak bertaip segala bagai..Mengalahkan assignment budak universiti..Zaman Iris dulu semua buat dengan tangan ja..

Sedang asyik berangan atas motor memikirkan juadah untuk di bawa ke hospital malam ni..Tiba-tiba Iris dikejutkan dengan kelibat pak polisi yang tiba-tiba muncul dari celah pokok..Terkejut beruk Iris dibuatnya..Iris tak boleh terkejut sikit mula la menggelabah..

'Arrgh sudah.. Ada roadblock ka kat depan?..Mati..Dah la sticker P tak lekat..Lesen entah ada ka tak dalam purse ni..Aigooo..Ottoke2x..' Monolog ku sendirian...

Dalam kekalutan yang sedang melanda, masa tu juga la kertas-kertas yang Iris bawa nak terkeluar dari raga motor..Damn betul la..So tanpa memberhentikan motor di tepi jalan..Iris cuba untuk mengawal situasi..Menyusun kembali kertas-kertas tersebut ke posisi yang sepatutnya..

Keadaan yang tidak fokus semasa menunggang, menyebabkan Iris terlanggar seketul batu..Iris hampir hilang kawalan dan nyaris terbabas ke dalam longkang di sebelah jalan..Seriyau dibuatnya..Iris park sebentar di tempat yang selamat..Ambik nafas..Periksa apa yang patut terlebih dahulu sebelum meneruskan perjalanan..

Pak polisi bertuah tu perasan tak agaknya..Hmm..Malu siot..Dah la polis muda..Hensem pula tu..Lantak la..Do I care..I don't know you and you don't even know me..Ada masalah besar yang perlu diselesaikan sedang menanti dihadapan..Need to be prepared for every possibilities ..

Sah memang ada roadblock kat Taman Song Choon..

'Ya Allah, bagi la aku lepas kali ini' Doaku..

Alhamdulillah..Lepas..Selamat pergi dan selamat pulang..

~are they already extinct? (part1)~

It is actually about buah ciku..Seriously it is really hard to find them nowadays..Samada pokoknya mahupun buahnya..Kat pasar malam tak ada, on the way balik kampung pun tak ada juga..So this kind of situation makes me wonder are they already extinct or me myself yang tak pandai cari..

As I remember the last time I ate them is when I'm in matriculation level, somewhere in 2006 or 2007..But yang pastinya that time is on bulan ramadhan..I was on the way going back to home from Penang-Ipoh for hari raya celebration..

Perjalanan yang sepatutnya mengambil masa 2 1/2 jam menjadi lebih panjang disebabkan oleh traffic jam..Standard la musim perayaan, semedang ja jalan jam..I loves to sleep when i'm travelling by bus..Tapi tidur-tidur ayam ja la..Asal celik ja mata tak juga sampai..Naik kebas buntut duduk lama sangat dalam bas..

Waktu berbuka puasa hampir tiba..Ramai dikalangan kami yang tak spare makanan untuk berbuka sebab masing-masing expect sempat berbuka di rumah..So pak cik bas kami ni berbaik hati untuk singgah sebentar di hentian rehat yang tak berapa nak famous ni..Dia bagi kami masa 15 minit untuk menyahut panggilan jamban dan mencari apa patut untuk dijadikan juadah berbuka..

Within that very limited time frame, I end up buying a big mineral water, twisties, gardenia's chocolate bun and buah ciku..Only that's all I managed to grab..Takut tertinggal bas punya pasal..15 minit pak cik bas kata, memang on time la Iris naik semula ke dalam bas..Padahal bas gerak lambat juga disebabkan masih ramai lagi budak-budak degil yang berkeliaran di sekitar hentian rehat..Hampeh..

So itulah kali terakhir Iris makan buah ciku..Tapi hari ini Iris bernasib baik sebab adik yang mak Iris ajar mengaji bawa buah ciku untuk kami sekeluarga..So lepas ni kalau anak cacing dalam perut ni mengidam nak buah ciku memang Iris akan target budak tu..Suruh dia pergi cari buah ciku untuk Iris..Hehe

~sabtu yang.........~

Saturday is supposed to be a fun day eventhough you had been working on that day..The in-patient number usually should be less than ten, new admission should be less or none, lots of patient going to be discharged home and nil patient going for op or scope..But what happens today is vice versa..

Ada la tue yang tak mandi pagi..Tak sempat..Bangun lambat agaknya..Walaupun tak ada siapa yang nak mengaku tapi Iris tahu..And it is definitely not me..But..Actually..Standard la kalau kerja dengan 'Cik Ribut'..Keadaan yang aman damai pun boleh jadi haru biru...

Carry forward in-patient pun dah berapa..Belum sempat habis ambil report dah ada new patient yang admit..Patient yang nak pergi op dan scope pun bertimbun..Jumlah patient yang admit lebih kurang sama naik dengan jumlah patient yang bakal pulang ke rumah..Banyak tu yang kita ambil banyak tu juga yang kita pass untuk next shift...

Seriously..kesibukkan hari ini mengalahkan hari Isnin..Nak minum pun tak sempat inikan pula nak melawat encik toilet..Patients pun ramai yang misbehave..Riak wajah yang sepatutnya seceria encik smiley Saturday and Sunday dah jadi seketat-ketatnya..Blurr..Tension..Penat..Lapar..Tak ada siapa yang tahu..  

Balik kerja pun lewat kalau nak dibandingkan dengan hari-hari Sabtu yang lepas..Dah la hujan..Kelaparan pun dah tak terbendung..Sebelum sampai ke rumah, Iris singgah dulu di kedai runcit berhampiran..Membeli apa yang patut untuk dibuat alas perut..Sampai ja rumah..Dapur menjadi sasaran..

Moral of the story..Never expect things to be happen as it usually happen..We need to prepare ourselves for the unexpected too..Breakfast first before started working..

p/s: Dalam wad Iris ada Puan Tsunami, Cik Taufan dan Cik Ribut..Mereka inilah merupakan orang-orang penting yang banyak mendatangkan keuntungan kepada hospital..
